We regularly carry out prevention actions against melanoma in various structures. Our goal is to inform and raise awareness of our cause, children and adults alike. These actions also allow us to make ourselves known and potentially find new volunteers who would like to get involved with us in the fight against melanoma.
In order to reach as many people as possible, regardless of gender or age, we work in all types of establishments. We also organize outdoor or indoor events to raise awareness among our audience of the risks incurred following excessive exposure to the sun. Until now, we have carried out prevention actions in nurseries, daycare centers and schools ranging from nursery to high school. We have also intervened in hospitals and on beaches.
We have also participated several times in the National Dermatology Days in Paris. This is an event taking place every year at the Palais des Congrès where many players in the field pool their knowledge and can interact.
Prevention actions in hospitals
We have carried out several prevention actions in hospitals, in order to raise awareness among both patients and members of the medical staff. Our goal is also to provide support and information to patients suffering from melanoma.
Prevention actions on beaches
Several actions were also carried out directly on beaches in the region in order to directly raise awareness among people about the importance of using sunscreen when exposing themselves to the sun. This is all the more important because when you are exposed to a beach, the effects of the sun are even more harmful, particularly during the hottest hours of the day.
Prevention actions in schools
We obviously carry out prevention actions in schools, in order to raise awareness among children from an early age of the importance of protecting themselves from the sun. However, we are not limited to young children, we also work in middle and high schools with adolescents.
Prevention actions in daycare centers
Several prevention actions have been carried out in daycare centers, which also allows us to raise awareness among children from a very young age. This awareness is raised through various fun and interactive games for children.
Dolls: our main asset with children
During our sun prevention missions in schools or outdoor centers. We set up fun activities to better capture the children’s attention. We often use dolls as examples during our demonstrations.
